We've been to Um.ma several times now with large & small groups. This dish is consistently tasty, crispy, crunchy, flavorful. Served piping hot...every time. The portion size is very large, enough to share easily as an appetizer for 6 people. Highly recommend that everyone try this as a starter dish, ask for additional hot sauce on the side for those of us who like it extra spicy. This dish pairs well as a complement to the charred gai lan, with a beer or a glass of white wine. The wait service is excellent, attentive without being intrusive. Wonderful, reasonably priced food items, and well-paced great service, with good friends & family defines how a casual, laid back, excellent restaurant meal experience should be.

The Tteok-Bokki is a must try! The flavor of the sauce really sinks in the rice cakes and fish cakes. The sauce is sooo addicting--- very cheesy, saucy and a kick of spiciness with a hint of sweetness! This pairs well with their Korean Fried Chicken & Cheese Corn! Their serving size is very generous--- you can feed 2-3 hungry people with the Tteok-Bokki!

this was on par with the tteok-bokki i've had in korea but even better that it was 100% certified vegan. the rice cakes were very fluffy and chewy and the sauce around it was so perfect!! rly large portion sizes and excellent to share
